My sketching workshops - dates have been set for Art House, South Brent

The current workshops at Art House, South Brent

I am holding 2 x two hour workshops at Art House South Brent, South Devon on Fridays 20th June and 27th June 2-4PM. Price is inclusive of the 2 x workshops and a free set of flash cards.

This is done, as usual, to show ‘how easy this is’ and not ‘how clever I am’.

Included with the course

Included in the price of the course are the two workshops and a free set of flash cards that I have designed. All materials for the course are also provided - or you can bring your own - sketchbook, pencil, pen, watercolours etc.

The process

The course loosely follows a process that I have developed and this is illustrated on the flash cards.

Below are examples of the initial pencil sketch, the inked details and the finished sketch with colour.

What’s coming?

This Substack is intended to expand upon the ideas of urban and landscape sketching with minimal materials, to provide examples and inspiration.

It’s all about getting your thoughts and feelings out onto paper without too many rules to follow - this is sketching - not drawing.
